Tony Howard at Small Victories Wine Co.

About Tony Howard

Tony Howard, an Angaston local and qualified boiler maker and blacksmith, decided to ditch the 9 to 5 and take up full time metal sculpting 2 years ago. Under his business name, “Steel Sculpt”, he specialises in customised, functional metal art.

“As a qualified boiler maker I have always enjoyed welding and fabrication.  With the majority of my working years spent in the quarrying/mining industry, I was inspired by the shapes and texture of the metal and stone I worked with every day.  I always enjoyed art work in my spare time and over the years have progressed from traditional art mediums to combine these inspirations and skills in metal sculptures, now often incorporating natural materials such as wood and stone.  I don’t often begin with or follow a plan, I simply have an idea that evolves and changes as I sift through various pieces of metal or wood.”

In more recent years Tony has taken to mentoring younger inspiring metal artists and has worked collaboratively on many larger scale projects

Small Victories Wine Co.

Introducing Small Victories Wine Co, they are thrilled to present a selection of enjoyable yet exquisitely delightful wines. The individuals steering the brand are Jules and Bec Ashmead, sisters-in-law, running companions, and close friends. With over twelve years of shared experience in the wine industry, Jules and Bec possess an extensive knowledge of exceptional wines. United in their passion, they decided to collaborate and craft a range of wines that resonates with their own preferences and those of their friends – wines that embody a spirit of fun, freshness, and modernity; wines ready for immediate enjoyment; wines that are simply delectable.

Hailing from a proud South Australian family, they take pride in the diversity and quality of grapes cultivated by fellow South Australian families. The grape growers they collaborate with are genuine individuals driven by a profound passion for their craft, and Small Victories Wine Co places a strong emphasis on sustainability. All wines produced by Small Victories Wine Co are vegan friendly. Jules oversees the winemaking process at Elderton’s winery in the Barossa, a facility certified as carbon neutral, powered by solar energy, and committed to recycling 100% of winery water back onto their vineyards in Nuriootpa. In their commitment to environmental responsibility, the brand introduces more eco-friendly packaging, utilizing lightweight bottles and recycled cardboard cartons.

Small Victories Wine Co feels fortunate to engage in their passion daily, and a significant aspect of their ethos involves giving back to the community. Annually, they partner with two different charities, causes that hold personal significance for both Jules and Bec.

As for the name, Small Victories Wine Co believes in commemorating the little triumphs in everyday life – no achievement is too minor. They assert that these small victories, when accumulated, can lead to significant transformations, whether in terms of sustainability, equality, or life fulfillment. Small Victories Wine Co eagerly anticipates sharing numerous delightful wines with their audience and encourages everyone to celebrate their small victories today!
