Susan Penfold at Kaesler Wines

About Susan Penfold

Pastels

Susan Penfold fell in love with the vibrancy and the mark making of pastel in 2006 when she took her first class with leading Darwin artist, Alison Worsnop. After moving to Adelaide in 2022 and ceasing full time work to devote herself to her art practice, she has been greatly influenced by local Adelaide artist, Trevor Newman.

She has received a variety of prizes and awards including: Winner 2023 Non-Professional Award at Plein Air Down Under, the 2020 (Darwin) Jetty Art Prize, 2023 Merit Award at the Spring Exhibition Royal South Australian Society of the Arts and 2020 Highly-Commended in the Katherine Art Show. She is currently exhibited at Atelier Crafers.

Kaesler Wines

A visit to Kaesler is more than just about the wine, it is a place to immerse yourself in the history of our estate and learn more about why Barossa wines are loved the world over. Originally the Kaesler family farm, the property is now home to our winery, 60ha of vineyards, the cellar door and the Kaesler Cottages. With our old vine vineyards, established gardens, historical buildings, tours, tasting and events, Kaesler is the quintessential Barossa experience.
